Welcome to The Birthday Club
Take the 10% in '10 Challenge PDF Print E-mail

The 10% in ’10 Challenge is challenging 10% of the residents in

each state to host a TBC party in 2010. This would contribute over

182,000,000 bags of groceries to local food pantries throughout

the United States without spending any additional money. How?

Hunger

impacts over 51 million Americans and

 over 800 million people world-wide

001.jpgworldglobe2

   That is 851 million

 people  without enough food.

This is unacceptable.

Together, we can end hunger.

 Participate in The Birthday Club...

it is free, fun, and helps your local community!

The Birthday Club™ encompasses the spirit of the birthday party celebration where people come together to enjoy each other’s company and have fun. It also provides an opportunity for community members to share with people in need by collecting food at their birthday parties and donating it to a food pantry. The Birthday Club™ is designed to be easy and fun for adults and children of all ages to utilize. Even the family pets can participate!

16, 673,000 American children live in food insecure homes. Food insecure households means that not there may not be enough food for all members of the household for all meals. (ERS, 2008). This means that over 16 million American children experience some level of hunger in their household.
